Ana Rita Antunes Notary Office Executes Deed of Sale for the ULisboa Medical Association - Torres Vedras Campus

It was with immense pride that the Ana Rita Antunes Notary Office hosted, on March 4th, the signing of the public deed marking the establishment of the ULisboa Medicine Association - Torres Vedras Campus .

This historic moment for our region and for healthcare at the national level brought together in our space the representatives of the founding members of this new entity: the Municipality of Torres Vedras, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) and the Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo de Torres Vedras.

The official signing of the event was attended by key figures in this project, namely:

• Sérgio Galvão , President of the Torres Vedras Municipal Council;

• João Eurico da Fonseca and Cristina Jacinto , Director and Administrator of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon;

• Manuel José Guerreiro (President), José Sebastião Nunes and Tomás Figueira (Directors), representing the Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo de Torres Vedras.

A Milestone for Local Health and Research

The new Association, constituted as a non-profit private law collective entity, will be headquartered in the former Dr. José Maria Antunes Júnior Hospital. Its mission will be to develop, empower and promote healthcare activities, teaching, research and training in health. The main focus will be on primary, community and integrated healthcare.

The "Medicina ULisboa - Campus de Torres Vedras" will present itself as an innovative and interdisciplinary offering, bringing together four fundamental areas in the same space:

• Healthcare Hub: Which will include the Academic Family Health Unit and an Interdisciplinary Unit dedicated to the cardiovascular, osteoarticular and neuroscience areas.

• Academic Hub: Composed of the Academic Center, Clinical Research Center, and Technological Research Center.

• Center for Humanitarian, Emergency and Disaster Medicine.

• Residential Hub.

Currently, the Association is in a phase of expansion, promoting contacts with various national and local institutions to attract new members and patrons.

It is an honor for the Ana Rita Antunes Notary Office to certify and give legal form to projects of such great scope and social impact. We wish the new Association and all those involved in this noble mission the greatest success!
